Attractive and fine quality Edwardian mahogany and satinwood banded bureau bookcase, the top section having a ‘swan neck’ pediment above two thirteen pane astragal glazed doors, on a bureau base with fall front opening to reveal an interior of pigeon holes, cupboard and drawers, above four oak lined drawers. Bears silver presentation plaque to ‘Ebeneezer Fulton, Redpath Brown & Co. Ltd., 25 years service, Jan 1908’. (Redpath Brown & Co. were steel manufacturers and structural engineers from the Edinburgh area from 1820 to 1921).
