About Us

TVADA’s distinctive logo “tamesis” is inspired by a keystone on the bridge at Henley on Thames and has been used since the association was formed in 1989. Our aim is to unite the antiques dealers of the Thames Valley, to support and promote members and provide a more complete service for their customers. It is run by members who willingly volunteer their time to help encourage visitors into the Thames Valley’s vibrant town & villages and its many antique shops and galleries. This historic and picturesque area is conveniently close to London and served by the major routes of the M4, M40 and A34 which includes Windsor, famous for its magnificent castle, only a 30 minute drive from London, to the dreaming spires of Oxford and beyond. Our membership which represents some 150 dealers incorporating the centres is made up of a huge variety of talented individuals incorporating just about all disciplines from the 16th century right through to the 21st. We can also offer additional advice on restoration, conservation, design, security, shipping and even educational courses. As well as finding our members “at home” TVADA hold two prestigious annual antiques fairs a year, an antiques trail and are also the pioneers of trade swap shops. Many of our members hold selling exhibitions throughout the year and so take a look at our events section for details on all forthcoming events. We work closely with LAPADA and other regional associations to ensure we can offer the best information and advice to our membership and customers. We hope you will find this website helpful to plan a visit to the area, to find a specific item or a particular dealer and to buy antiques through our stock search. |
