TVADA Autumn Fair 2006

THE TVADA AUTUMN 2006 ANTIQUES FAIR 27th – 29th OCTOBER
RADLEY COLLEGE, ABINGDON, OXFORDSHIRE, OX14 2HR
Friday 27th October 11am-6pm, Saturday 28th October 11am-6pm and Sunday 29th October 11am-5pm.

The Thames Valley Antique Dealers Association is delighted to be returning to Radley College, Abingdon, Nr. Oxford to it’s esteemed annual Autumn Antiques Fair over the weekend of the 27th October to 29th October.

The collective expertise of members of the Thames Valley Antiques Dealers Association attracts other dealers from far & wide in search of the authentic and interesting stock on offer at the TVADA fairs; including fine traditional, and country furniture, carpets, decorative furniture and accessories including mirrors, lighting, ceramics, glass, clocks & barometers, bronzes, silver, porcelain, garden statuary and architectural items , and a wonderfully wide range of paintings. Ultimately representing as many of their members as possible providing a fair to inspire and capture the imagination with items for sale to suit every pocket.

Entry into the fair also includes a fabulous prize draw for a cordon bleu meal for four, the theme to be chosen by the lucky winner, to be prepared, cooked and served in your own home by the acclaimed chef, Liam Lonergan of “Dine Out at Home”.

Confirmed exhibitors include Summers Davis Ltd, Marcelline Herald, Hallidays Fine Antiques Ltd with their fine period furniture a good source for the London decorating trade. The fair’s loyal following will be delighted that John Ebdon and Joyce MacNaughton of the Swan at Testworth will also be exhibiting along with The Country Seat showing their large collection of White Friars glass.

Also exhibiting at the fair will be tvada’s associate members who provide valuable services such as upholstery, restoration and gilding. Some will be demonstrating their expert skills using traditional techniques. Visitors who purchase larger items will be able to get competitive quotes for delivery or shipping and a free packing service is available for smaller items.

The event is set within Radley College, the only antiques fair to be held at this traditional public school making it a unique event. It gives the rare opportunity to view the magnificent buildings, Radley Hall dates back to 1727 and the extensive attractive grounds and lake designed by Capability Brown. Set in the heart of the Oxfordshire countryside, yet only four miles south of Oxford it is easily accessible via the M4 or M40.

Other features of the fair include a licensed restaurant offering an irresistible lunch menu and delicious cream teas, with the advantage of ample free parking adjacent to the venue. Those who buy any Christmas presents at the fair, can take advantage of the free Christmas wrapping service available. All of these put together make the TVADA Autumn Antiques Fair one not to miss.

The event is organised by the Thames Valley Antiques Dealers Association and will run on Friday 27th October 11am-6pm, Saturday 28th October 11am-6pm and Sunday 29th October 11am-5pm. Entrance fee is £5.
